Girls Camp is Here!

We hope everyone is as excited as we are!  Just a few more days until we all get together for a wonderful week of GIRLS CAMP!  Remember to be prepared for mosquitoes, be prepared for adventure, be prepared for uplifting moments, and be prepared for FUN!  We will see you all soon!

Poison Ivy = Pants!

Well, after a beautiful visit to our lovely Camp Ozawindib, I realized something.  There is poison ivy along some of the paths of our campground.  So ladies, to be smart, we urge you to consider packing mostly long pants for our trip, with thick socks and tennis shoes or hiking boots!  We will see who chooses wisely, eh?  Beware the 3-leafed plants!  Stay on the paths!

Camp Challenge!

Hey Young Women and Leaders!  We just ordered the awesome necklaces that are the reward for completing the new Camp Challenge that we invite you all to participate in.  They are beautiful!  We hope everyone takes us up on the chance to come closer to Christ, and to prepare spiritually and physically for a more meaningful YW Girls Camp!  Remember, to get the reward, the Camp Challenge must be completed BEFORE camp!  Enjoy your journey!

Camp Flag Instructions

Hey Ladies!  Facebook is such a great way to share our excitement for camp!  It is also the perfect place to post our past photos of girls camp and any fond memories we have of our Girls Camp's greatest hits.  Our new PRIVATE Facebook Group is named "Fargo Stake YW Girls Camp".  We also need all of our Ward/Branch Unit Camp Directors to upload their "Camp Movie Trailers" here so that we can have the same format of all the videos to show at our upcoming Stake Camp Kickoff on Saturday, June 14th.  Hope to chat with you all soon!

Camp Kickoff and Camp Movie Trailers

Be sure to come to the Stake Camp Kickoff on Saturday, June 14th from 11-2pm.  We will be having so much fun, learning more about camp, doing some pre-certification, and eating yummy food too!    We will be premiering each unit's "Camp Movie Trailer" at the Kickoff!  We can't wait to see what everyone comes up with!  For instructions on how to make and upload the "Camp Movie Trailers", please click here.

Please be aware that non-member girls are only responsible for the $50 Individual Girl's Contribution, not the entire $120 cost of camp per girl.

We ask that you decide quickly what your "journey story" and matching shoe will be for your unit.  Please email me at singalongjen@yahoo.com as soon as possible what your top two choices are so that we can better make assignments.  The first ones who respond will have a better chance of getting their first choice.  Please also include your unit's choice of color.  Thanks so much!  We are going to have an absolutely amazing camp!

YW Girls Camp Committee Brunch

Stake YW Camp Committee Brunch Meeting - Saturday, May 17th @ 10:30 am, before the training meetings of Stake Conference, we will be having a meeting for Ward YW Leaders, Camp Directors, Stake YW Leaders, and all Camp Specialists.  We will be finishing up some camp planning, handing out binders, camp registration forms, sheet music, and exploring the 2014 theme, Come Unto Christ - Your Journey Home.  Any questions please call Jenny West at 701-282-9505 or Lisa McKee at 701-371-5999.  See you there for a wonderful morning of food, planning and laughter!

This song is perfect with our theme "Come Unto Christ - Our Journey Home".  We will be sending out the sheet music of this song to each ward and branch to learn this beautiful song together for camp!

Attention all amazing Young Women of the Fargo ND Stake!!!  Girl's Camp is right around the corner, and we are so EXCITED!
